Om! One should think of Vishnu while taking medicine, and Janardana during a meal.
Padmanabha while going to sleep, and Prajapati during marriage.
The God Chakradhara in battle, and Trivikrama while traveling abroad.
Narayana when leaving the body (at death), and Shridhara in the company of a beloved.
Remember Govinda during a bad dream, and Madhusudana in times of crisis.
Narasimha in the forest, and Jalashayina amidst fire.
Varaha in the midst of water, and Raghunandana on a mountain.
Vamana while departing, and indeed Madhava in all activities.
Whoever recites these sixteen names upon waking up in the morning,
Will be freed from all sins and will be glorified in the abode of Vishnu (Vishnuloka).
।। Thus ends the Shri Vishnu Shodashanama Stotram (Hymn of the Sixteen Names of Lord Vishnu) ।।
