Ratna Bhandar Repairs: New Darshan Arrangements for Devotees

Dear devotees of Lord Jagannath,

The repair work of the Ratna Bhandar (treasure chamber) of our beloved Sri Mandir is scheduled to begin on the 17th of this month. A special schedule has been prepared for this repair work. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by the Puri District Collector. Special arrangements have been made to ensure that devotees can have a peaceful darshan (viewing) of the Lord during this time.

Repair Schedule and Darshan Arrangements

The temple doors will open at 2 AM, and after the afternoon ‘dhupa’ (ritual offering), repair work on the Ratna Bhandar will be carried out for approximately 5 hours. During this time, devotees will be able to have darshan of the Lord from outside the barricade. Additionally, extensive arrangements have been made by the police administration to ensure that there are no inconveniences during the repair work. The Sri Mandir administration and the servitors have also pledged their cooperation in this endeavor.

Repair Work

According to the GPR and GPRS surveys, the cracks in the walls and floors of the Ratna Bhandar will be repaired. All rules and regulations will be strictly followed during the repair work. It is hoped that after this repair work is completed, the Ratna Bhandar will be restored to its original condition.
