|| Rajaprasad Bije at the Srimandir: “The Mahaprabhu has Recovered” ||

๐Ÿ‘‰ Today, on the auspicious occasion of Anasara Dwadashi, the traditional ritual ofย Rajaprasad Bijeย (a procession to the Royal Palace) is being observed.

๐Ÿ‘‰ On the sacred Snana Purnima, the Deities (Shrijiu) were bathed with 108 pots of water. Through this divine play (lila), they fell ill with a fever and were moved from the Snana Bedi (bathing platform) to theย Anasara Pindiย (seclusion dais) in aย Goti Pahandiย procession. They have been resting in theย Nirodhana Gruhaย orย Anasara Gruhaย (seclusion chamber) for 15 days.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Yesterday, on the holy Khalilagi Ekadashi, the rituals of applying sandalwood paste all over the holy bodies of the Deities (Sarbanga Chandan Lagi) and offering theย Dashamula Modakaย (an herbal confection) were performed. After this, my Mahaprabhu (the Great Lord) has completely recovered.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Today, on Anasara Dwadashi, theย Rajaprasad Bijeย ritual is being held to deliver the good news of the Mahaprabhu’s recovery to the Gajapati Maharaja, the first servitor of the Srimandir.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Today, after theย Bhoga Mandapaย (hall of offerings) rituals for theย Patti Dianย (the canvas deities representing the Trinity) are completed, silver plates are brought from theย Bhandara Gharaย (temple treasury). These are placed on a special mat laid out by theย Asthana Pratihariย servitor near theย Dakhina Dwaraย (southern gate).

๐Ÿ‘‰ Silk cloths (patakana), provided by theย Changada Mekapย servitor, are placed on these silver plates. Theย Daitapatiย servitors then place theย Sri Angachandanaย (sandalwood paste from the deities’ bodies),ย Karala, andย Patadoriย (silk threads) from the holy idols onto these plates. Accompanied by the sounds ofย ghantaย (bells),ย chhatraย (umbrellas), andย kahaliย (trumpets), the procession, led by theย Talichha Mahapatraย andย Pradhaniย servitors, formally proceeds towards theย Sri Naharaย (Royal Palace).

๐Ÿ‘‰ Upon arrival at theย Sri Nahara, the King’sย chhuan shadhiย (specially touched cloths, given as a mark of honor) are presented to the Daitas, Pati Mahapatra, Tadhau, Deula Karana, and Talichha Mahapatra servitors.

After fifteen days of divine rest and healing in the Anasara Gruha, the Great Lord is well! This exquisite artwork captures the splendor of the Rajaprasad Bije ritual on the auspicious day of Anasara Dwadashi.
