Patti Dian Sri Ananta Narayana at Srimandir ||
π During the Anasara or Anavasara period (the period of seclusion after the Snana Yatra), Sri Ananta Narayana is worshipped as the representative deity (Patti Dian) on behalf of Sri Jagannath in the sanctum sanctorum.
π His body is dark blue in color.
π He is four-armed and seated in the Padmasana posture (lotus position).
π Sri Ananta Narayana’s developed four powerful and sturdy arms at the shoulder level are well-depicted.
π While the nose, mouth, and chin are clearly visible, the white beard and mustache appear tall like flames of fire.
π A red dot-like mark is visible within the chita (mark on the forehead), and this chita extends to the base of the nose.
π His two ears are adorned with Makara Kundalas (crocodile-shaped earrings).
π The sacred thread (Yajnopavita) extends from the shoulder to the waist of the well-formed and richly ornamented Narayan, adorned with various jewels and rubies, and merges with the waist belt worn around his waist.
π Wearing a divine yellow garment in the Trikachchha style (tucked in three places), golden bracelets adorn his two feet and four hands, while chitas are drawn on his torso and arms.
π The reddish footprints of Srivatsa shine on his torso.
π A garland of lotus flowers hangs around his neck, green curly hair flows in an upward manner, and the colorful crown on his head appears extremely beautiful.
π On both sides of Narayan stand the Saptarishis (seven sages) in a posture of obeisance.
π Along with him, the principal moving deities of Lord Sri Jagannath, Sri Dolagovinda and Sri Madanamohana, are present.
π He is seated in a multi-tiered bower (kunja).
π Two white pigeons are present on the upper part of this bower. Additionally, two Makaras (mythical crocodile-like creatures) adorn the lower part of the same bower.
π The top of this bower is shaped like a lotus flower, while the platforms are like blossomed lotus flowers.
